Missionary work
Paul travelled over 10,000 miles on a religious mission to promote Christianity in a foreign countries.
Paul saw his calling to go on mission to the nations as a continuation of the mission of the prophets and, especially as the Lord's servant. The missionary is the messenger who shoulders the mission of the Lord's servant. Paul applied the prophecy of the servant to himself and understood his mission as a prolongation of the mission of Christ.
He travelled over 10,000 miles proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and his journeys on land and sea took him primarily through present day Israel, Syria, Turkey and Greece. This missionary works led to his letters.
Christians all around the world should learn from Paul's example in having strong faith in God.
